Apple Announces iPhone 5 Launch In South Korea Followed by 50 More Countries

Apple announced that it would be sending its latest hit product the iPhone 5 to South Korea with an expected launch date of December 7. The latest announcement form the California based technology giant comes only weeks after it stated that iPad and iPhone would be making their way into China. The South Korea launch wil be part of the release of the flagship product from Apple in more than 50 countries in December.

 

iPhone 5 is only officially available in 47 countries at the moment but with the release in South Korea, the company will move on to launching the device in Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Grenada, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Jordan, Kuwait, Macedonia Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. By December 21 the device will get opening days in Barbados, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines, Tunisia, Uganda and Vietnam.

 

Apple has been very successful with its almost flawless rollout of the iPhone 5 to suppliers across the globe and the current expansion should not have any issues either. Apple got the device to 100 service providers within three months, becaming the fastest iPhone rollout ever.

 

Apple’s iPhone 5 proved to be so popular that it quickly sold out when it was first released. At the time customers had to face 3 – 4 week delays in receiving their phones because the device became the fastest selling smartphone in history. Those early problems have been solved and shipping times are now only 2 to 4 days.

 

December will also see Apple release the iPad mini and 4th-generation iPad in China on December 7 while the iPhone 5 hits shelves on December 14.
