Major League Baseball has not officially announced their association with the upcoming BlackBerry 10 from Research in Motion but on Thursday, December 28 users of the MLB.com website received an email that had a teaser promotion for BlackBerry 10.
The email did not contain any thing new about the platform or the Canadian company’s upcoming devices but did have positive quotations from people about the upcoming BB10 platform. Before RIM took a nose dive and devices from Apple and Samsung took over the smartphone market, the MLB supported BlackBerry by releasing content for the platform including the MLB.com At Bat app.
The latest promotion from the MLB could mean that they will have a app ready for the launch of BlackBerry 10 which is scheduled for January 30. The global release of the new platform and associated devices is thought by many as the the Canadian technology giants final chance to take back market share it has lost to competitors. The company’s stock has taken a nose dive and its market share has fallen just as fast over the last couple of years due to competition from Google, Samsung and Apple.
