Samsung has been accepted worldwide as a leading maker of consumer electronics and smartphones. Another South Korean manufacturer, LG, has been chasing the maker of the Galaxy S III closely. LG has a very similar line-up of electronic devices to Samsung but in general the company’s smartphones and TV sets enjoy a healthy demand globally.

Like other players in the smartphone market LG is always on the look out for ways to differentiate its product from competitors and the firm recently stated declared that in 2013 they will bring their Optimus G smartphone games to Ultra High Definition TV sets through wireless streaming. This will enable customers to view 3D gaming on HD TVs that was previously referred to as 4K resolution.

To accomplish their goal, LG is scaling up the resolution of games, so they will match the big screen display. Furthermore, the company is also looking to provide 3D viewing capabilities. Complete details about LG’s latest project are scarce, but it is expected that games will be streamed to TVs through Wi-Fi.

For now, LG has just teased its customers by talking about streaming games from its Optimus G smartphone to Ultra HD TV together with complete 3D conversion at the international CES 2013. However, if LG is successful in pulling off the trick, the South Korean company will surely get an edge over its rivals including Samsung.

In addition to this, it has also been reported that LG is not only looking to bring smartphone access to HD TVs, it is also looking to connect other devices like ovens, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, refrigerators and more. This allows customers the ability to monitor the cycle rotation of washing machines, cooking settings of the oven and more.
