Forum Research recently conduct a poll in Canada to find out which sites leave a good impression on their users. The results of the poll by Forum Research were pretty surprising and revealed that despite privacy concerns Canadians still believes that the Google experience is very satisfactory. According to the poll 91 percent of people in Canada use Google and out of that group 73 percent are “very satisfied” with the popular search engine’s services.
Since the poll did not ask about a specific Google page or service, it is assumed that majority of these Canadians are thinking about the search engine or Google+, a social network from the technology giant.
After Google, the second site that was able to impress Canadians in this poll was Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook. The Forum Research poll showed that 60 percent of Canadians use the social networking site for different purposes, but only 31 percent of them say that they were very pleased with it.
Hot on the heels of Facebook is the popular micro-blogging website Twitter with a 22 percent rating and after it professional networking website LinkedIn stands at number four with 21 percent votes in the poll.
The Forum Research did not focus on just websites like Google and social media. The poll in fact asked Canadians about which operating system satisfied them the most. This brought the two major operating systems head to head with each other in this polling, Apple’s Mac OS and Microsoft’s Windows.
The poll revealed that 79 percent of the Canadians cited that they are using Windows, while only 12 percent claimed to be using Mac OS. And not more than half of these 79 percent Canadians said that they very satisfied with Windows, whereas only three quarters of Mac users called it very pleasing.
