A new application available for both iPhone and Android will now allow users to easily select the recipes of food they wish to prepare while a few taps it will also order the ingredients related to those recipes from their favourite supermarkets for doorstep delivery.
Whisk launched by Nick Holzherr, the runner up of popular British reality show Apprentice, is claimed to be the most advanced food application available incorporating linguistic and semantic analysis to interpret recipes adding the required ingredients to the shopping list for delivery. It is a brilliant concept making grocery shopping easier than ever before and it is no surprise to see investors putting in big money into the application.
Holzherr secured an initial investment of £ 170,000 while in a second investment round the application received £ 500,000.
Extremely simple to use the app invites users to sign in with their Waitrose or Tesco supermarket accounts. On the next step a list of options is presented to the user from which he/she can select the food categories.
Recipes already available on the website of the Food Network are available on the app and users can simply tap the selected recipe they wish to see. After selection of the recipe the application allows the user to order the ingredients required to make the dish while also providing the option of selecting the number of people to cater to.
The user can edit the selected ingredients and then move to checkout with the option of ordering from either Waitrose or Tesco. Whisk is expected to add further supermarkets to its portfolio in order to appeal to a wider audience of customers.
This is great application which looks as good as its services and is available for free download for both android and iOS devices.
