Facebook’s introduction of new search feature was somewhat expected as it wanted to given some tough time to Google, but the new feature and its dynamics have exceeded the expectations to a some extent.

The new graph feature introduced by Facebook recently does not act like a Google or any other search engine that will give you many links for a particular search. Instead, the new feature introduced by Facebook is more personal in nature.

For example, you can find people, their interest and many such details through the new Facebook search. If you want to search a particular place, Google will give you all the possible links related to your search. In terms of the new Facebook search, however, the search results will tell how many of your friends liked or went to the place you have searched.

This is seemingly going to change the course of the way people search on the internet. Although it is too early to tell how the new Facebook search feature will affect the entire search engine industry, the initial reviews have given a positive nod to Facebook.

Meanwhile, it has also been made clear that the new search feature will not hurt privacy of any user. If a user searches information through the new feature, they will get only the information that is allowed for public display by their connections. This seems to be a major factor that will contribute to the new feature’s success, because privacy issues can hit the new feature’s progress, if they are not dealt with properly. The new service has been made available to a limited number of users initially.
