The fourth generation of Apple‘s full size iPad was released not too long ago in about 100 countries across the globe and it is yet to make its debut in China. Incredibly, rumours of a fifth gen iPad are already making the rounds and according to the latest update, Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities’ analyst, says that Apple’s next full size iPad will have a new design and it will also be “significantly thinner and slimmer,” than its predecessors.
Kuo also predicted that the new version of the full size iPad will see first light in the third quarter of 2013. Besides this it was also expected that the fifth gen of iPad will most probably take some design ideas from the latest iPad Mini, which has a narrow rim between the screen and the edge of the tablet itself.
However, it is still unknown how Kuo was able to make these predictions, whether it was his own assessment or a source related to Apple had shared the information with him.
Nevertheless, this forecast from Kuo looks legitimate because if you take a look at Apple’s history, it has often followed this formula of taking design notes from its very own devices. For instance iPhone 5 has taken its white/silver and black/slate design philosophy from iPad Mini and now rumour has it that the next gen of this smartphone will come in various colours just like latest iPod Touch.
