Like most new smartphones, the Z10 also packs NFC technology allowing the device to send files, links and other information to NFC enabled smartphones. Additionally RIM has also done a deal with Visa to allow customers to pay for goods by tapping their phones on the till.

According to leaked specifications, the Z10 will boast 16GB of memory, 2GB of Ram and a large 1,800mAh battery.

This is RIM’s final opportunity to become relevant again in the smartphone market and the Canadian mobile giant will be hoping for a big consumer response to its new BB10 line of smartphones.
