Previously TQ reported that Korean manufacturer LG is gearing up to launch the Optimus G2. We also indicated in the report that there is a possibility that the South Korean electronics manufacturer may introduce another smartphone before its flagship device at the 2013 Mobile World Congress which will take place in Barceleno between February 25 and 28. The latest reports also indicate LG may be developing the next generation of Optimus G and it is anticipated that the company will announce this smartphone at the upcoming MWC. This successor of Optimus G is expected to be called “G Pro” and its rumoured features are also out thanks to leaked information.
The mentioned details were derived from the alleged image. The picture emerged online and showcases the new breed of smartphone in two colours including a complete black and half white and black handset. The image for the Optimus G Pro also has details printed over in another language.
However, according to the rumoured specifications the “G Pro” will sport a bigger display than its predecessor, which measures 5-inches at 1080p. Moreover, the 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) processor in the smartphone is also better than the Optimus G. In addition to this, the smartphone will boast storing capacity of 32 GB, while its RAM will be of 2GB.
Besides this it seems that this time LG has not ignored battery timing in the upcoming version of the Optimus G. As a significant upgrade was reported according to which, in contrast to Optimus G’s 2100mAh cell users will see 3000mAh cell in the Optimus G Pro. The rumoured smartphone will be run on the latest available Android software and have a 13-mega pixel camera plus it will be as thin as 10.1 mm, whereas its weight will be 160 grams.
