Ticketfly Ready To Enter Canada After Making Deals With Union Events and Collective Concerts

Ticketfly, a startup that sells concert and event tickets, is getting ready to take on Ticketmaster in Canada as it expands in to the country. The California based firm is able to make the move thanks to newly forged deals with Canadian national event promoters Union Events and Collective Concerts . Ticketfly also got a foot hold in Canada through the acquisition of Canadian firm Prime Box Office and will be selling tickets online for Canada based events.

 
Ticketfly’s expansion plans include underselling Ticketmaster by charging less for online purchases. The company is also promoting Apple’s Passbook and will issue e-tickets for consumers so that they can store and use them through their iPhones or other iOS powered devices. Ticketfly’s integrated ticketing and marketing platform is expected to draw the attention of venues and event promoters because the company utilizes the internet to give access to vast audience. The use of mobile technology and innovative marketing methods also attracts clients making the the Ticketfly proposition attractive for clients.

 
Ticketfly is also hiring experienced and talent local employees to run the business in Canada. The General Manager position in Ticketfly Canada will be filled by Bruce Morrison, who is previous head of ticket sales at Sony Centre For The Performing Arts and has also worked as director of operations for Ticketmaster Canada.

 

Ticketfly has been experience massive growth and Canada seems like a natural step for the startup. The company was recently crowned the fasted growing technology company in the Bay area by San Francisco Business Times thanks to the company’s impressive sales and expansion.
