Gamers and gaming enthusiasts are currently engaged in intense discussions of rumours surrounding the upcoming new consoles from Microsoft and Sony. Both systems are expected to be released later this year or early in the next with details hard to come by on what have been dubbed the Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4.
Recently technology site Kotaku got its hands on the most viable information regarding the new underdevelopment PlayStation 4. All reports about the new system have been obtained by the website from more than 90 PDF files of official Sony documents.
However, the information does not disclose the shape of the new console as well as how the new controllers might look but what is revealed is enough to get the juices rolling of all gamers. According to the information the PlayStation 4 will pack a punch when it comes to processing and graphics.
The new console will feature an AMD 10XX graphics processing unit as well as a massively powerful eight-core AMD64 processor that will help bring the best gaming experience to life. Additionally the Blu-ray drive will be available, four USB ports and 8GB of system memory.
Luke Plunkett of Kotaku in the article writes about the new controllers that will make an appearance with the PlayStation 4:
“There’s one other addition to the PS4’s pad you won’t find on a DualShock 3: a ‘Share’ button. We’re not exactly sure what it does. The most likely use would be to allow users to share some aspect of their gaming experience to Twitter or Facebook. Maybe a screenshot?”
For us we can’t wait to see what Sony has in store with the new console and this information may just change when the new system is finally brought into the public eye.
