A few days ago the popular Kickstarter project, the Pebble smartwatch, announced that they finally were ready to ship the first batch watches. However, only a limited number of backers would receive the crowd-sourced product in black only. Moreover, the shipping notifications from the company also included a warning, which says that the first allotment of smartwatches will take more time to arrive then expected due to minor manufacturing hindrances. Te major cause of concern for many Pebble Watch backers was that its iOS app was not available on Apple’s App Store until Wednesday, January 23.

Nevertheless, the people behind Pebble were able to fix the glitch and on January 24 the iOS app for the smartwatch was made available on Apple’s App Store after going through a two week review. Apple finally gave the green light to Pebble’s iOS app and now initial backers will be able to do more than just control music and notifications on the amazing watch. The Android app for Pebble was also made available for download on the same day, but both apps are useless for users until they get their smartwatches.

It took Pebble a long time to eventually convert its vision of smartwatch into reality, but now as the shipping has finally started it seems that the company will be able to move out its product in huge numbers and other colours to fulfill the big demand. For the time being to soothe its customers the firm has launched a website by the name of Is Pebble Shipping?
