The Cellular Guru confirmed reports that Canadian smartphone maker, Research In Motion, is all set to launch it upcoming BlackBerry 10 device, BlackBerry Z10, on February 5th with wireless carrier Telus. This news comes just a few days before the official launch of RIM’s much anticipated BlackBerry 10 platform on January 30. The struggling company has seen a streak of positive news the last few months that have helped the technology firms stock jump up in price. Rumors have been hitting the news outlets about RIM’s new operating system and devices. Most news stories and the consumers reactions have been positive so far making the build up to the event highly anticipated.

RIM is going to be showcasing two smartphones at their launch event. The first will be the all-touch BlackBerry Z10.  The second device will be the QWERTY-keyboard enabled BlackBerry X10 which is a nod to hard-core BlackBerry fans who prefer the physical keyboard of previous devices. A rumor that had been floating around was that the Z10 would launch one week after the big launch event on both Bell and Telus. The latest news has confirmed this rumor. However, there is no confirmation of the second part of the rumor which claimed that the BlackBerry X10 will be seeing a release later in February.

All that is left to do now is buckle up and enjoy the upcoming BlackBerry 10 launch which RIM is hoping will help the Canadian firm recover lost market share against competitors like Apple and Samsung. The technology firm has done almost every thing in its power to make sure the launch will be successful including creating a robust app environment, upgrading software, launching a major advertising campaign and engaging app developers.
