A few days ago reports that Samsung is creating an 8-inch version of its famous Galaxy Tab started emerging. Now an alleged image of the device has also surfaced online for the first time. The looks of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 are quite similar to its siblings Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III smartphone, but compared to its predecessor the new edition appears to be more elegant and slimmer. The South Korean manufacturer has not released any official statment on the legitimacy of the alleged picture because the company never comments on speculations. Therefore, to know the exact details of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 we all have to wait for the official announcement. However, for the time being we have lined-up the specs of this forthcoming tablet by taking cues from the leaked images and its name, according to which the 8-inch display Note 8.0 will pack a 1.6Ghz quad-core processor and will be made available in two versions (Wi-Fi and 3G) 16GB and 32GB. Of course, it will run on the latest available Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and it will bear two cameras as well, one at the rear with 5 megapixel and other at the front with 1.3 megapixel.

As far as the resolution of the Note 8.0 is concerned it is expected to be 1280 x 800 and it would measure 211.3 x 136.3 x 7.95mm. The weight of this new slate would be around 330 grams and a potent 4600 mAh battery would be included in it to keep it alive for a long time. However, currently it is hard to predict whether the Note 8.0 will work as a mobile phone but considering Samsung’s history one cannot rule out the possibility.

For more details on the Galaxy Note 8.0 watch out for 2013 Mobile World Congress that will take place in Barcelona, Spain in a few weeks time.
