Apple Working on Smaller TV

For Apple, Apple TV is just a hobby. The hobby is rather a lucrative one as it generated billions of dollars for the company recently, but Apple does not rely on this product to support its huge business empire. However, this trend might change and Apple might enter the large market of home appliances to reach the living rooms of its customers, just like many of its rivals do.

It has been strongly suggested that Apple must broaden the scope of its products and start producing Apple TVs and other items on large scales for international markets. These suggestions gained strength recently when Apple released its quarterly report for the period ending in last December. After the report was announced, it was also predicted that growth in the current quarter could be slower. This all led to decline in Apple’s share value and many analysts suggested that Apple should explore other markets to retain its glory.

A lot of talks have also been done with respect to new Apple TV. Although an estimated timeframe for its launch is still not available, something to keep this product in the media has surfaced. According to many reports, FCC documents submitted by Apple reveal that the company is working on a new Apple TV, which is going to be even smaller than its current models. Apple TV’s current model is 98mm on both dimensions, while the new model is said to be 93.78mm square. The documents do not reveal anything more significant, but it is expected that we might hear more about this product again very soon.
