Amazon adds Instant Video App for Nintendo Wii Users

Nintendo Wii users will now finally be able to stream television shows, videos and other content after Amazon brought its Instant Video application to the gaming console. Now Wii users who earlier had no streaming options can instantly rent or buy thousands of new television content right from their gaming console.

 

Amazon’s Instant Video was already available for users of the new Wii U and now the streaming service has been made available for Nintendo’s older gaming console as well. The announcement was made today by the web giant.

 

Those wishing to download the app can get it from the Wii Shop Channel with the users able to subscribe to an Amazon Prime account for free content streaming and also having the option to rent or buy shows directly through the app.

 

Easy and convenient the app allows Nintendo Wii owners to stream their favourite television shows and then end the episode on their tablet, smartphone, or television and other compatible devices since all purchases are available on the video library allowing for quick streaming from all devices.

 

Three easy steps are all that are required for Wii users to get going. After downloading the app from the Wii store users will be asked to register their console which will result in them receiving a registration code to be entered on Amazon’s website for completion of the verification process.

 

With Wii U, users already enjoying the latest television shows other Nintendo owners can now also join in to enjoy the best streaming television content available.
