Amazon is not the only big tech company that is looking to produce new hardware devices in the future, as several other companies have similar intentions and Google is one of them. This claim was made by a well known analyst from KGI Securities, Mingchi Kuo, who has recently released a new research note that not only features some astonishing specific specs of Google’s future products, but also sheds light and shares information related to products that he believes Google is going to launch after the Google I/O event such as a new TV product, a smart watch and a Notebook that will be powered by Android OS.

This is not the first time that someone has talked about an Android-powered notebook. Just a month ago executives from Intel confirmed that most of their new sub-$200 notebooks would boast mobile Atom CPUs and feature an Android OS. However, Kuo has clearly mentioned in his note that he does not expect to see these Android-based notebooks make its debut at the Google I/O event taking place this year. He says that the 5.0 edition of Android will not be ready to be revealed at the event. However, it seems that companies like Samsung will launch their notebooks with Android 4.x version in the coming 3 to 4 months period:

“Android Book – Android Book won’t be introduced at the upcoming Google I/O as development of Android 5.0, which is targeted at NB, is incomplete. We think Android Book featuring Android.4x will be rolled out in the coming 3-4 months because some brand vendors, like Samsung (Korea), want to move first. But shipments will be limited as the current Android OS isn’t well supported for laptops.”

Besides Android-powered notebooks, Kuo also mentioned in his note that he expects to see the next gen of Google Nexus 7 at Google I/O. As far as the much rumoured TV content business of Google is concerned, Mingchi said that the search engine giant is looking to launch a device alike Apple TV, but due to a modification in Nvidia Tegra it would not be able to showcase the device at upcoming I/O.

Kuo also expects that Google will reveal its rumoured smart watch along with Google Glass, but rumour has it that it would not be able to hit the production line for mass distribution until next year:

“In addition to Google Glass, we expect Google Watch will be launched as Google’s venture into the wearable device market. Given the myriad design challenges for wearable devices, however, we don’t expect mass production to begin this year.”
