According to the latest reports, a San Matero, California based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Marketplace called SaaS Markets has launched a new app store that offers over 1,300 cloud-based apps to medium and small size businesses in Canada. The name of this app store is Appclick Canada and it launched yesterday, November 6.

This group of SaaS applications works as a curator by offering numerous subscription based applications that are accessed through the Web.

Explaining the working of this app store, CEO and founder of SaaS Markets, Ferdi Roberts told that, “As an entrepreneur, I learned the hard way about the types of operational problems that can overwhelm business owners, which can be easily addressed with the right SaaS application. SaaS Markets was created to address these critical issues. Appclick makes it easy to find, subscribe, and use SaaS apps at a price any business can afford. This allows entrepreneurs to focus their time on building their businesses, and less time worried about IT and operational issues.”

Appclick Canada includes broad categories like Finance and Accounting, Security, Sales, Admin & Office Tools and many more. Through its comparison feature users can trigger multiple apps which perform the same task alongside the various pricing and features each offers. The majority of the apps will cost $15 to $20 per month to the subscribing businesses.

The idea to use cloud-based business software is not new, as mainstays like the Apple App Store have already set up on the block, but certainly the notion of paying a rental fee for delivering software over the Web is gaining more popularity with the passage of time. Businesses no longer want to get involved in purchasing boxes of software for their PCs, and the availability and reliability of the internet make cloud-based software a much more appealing alternative.
