Several sources have stated that Apple will launch its much anticipated iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on September 10th at an event, but so far the Cupertino-based company has not confirmed these reports. However, now a new report has surfaced online from Japan by Nikkei, which claims that the two new iPhones will be launched in the country on September 20th. In addition to this sources have also confirmed that the next-gen iPhone 5S would not only boast fingerprint reader, but it will also be made available in gold colour.
“SoftBank and KDDI will handle sales of the iPhone 5S and 5C, according to Japan’s largest business daily. NTT Docomo is not expected to sell the new iPhones, Nikkei added.

In addition to the conventional black and white models, a new “champagne gold” will be offered, the newspaper said. This reinforces widely-reported rumours about that colour option for the iPhone 5S.
The 5S is expected to come with an upgraded processor and camera as well as fingerprint reader integrated into the home button, according to the report.”
In addition to this, just like most of the other sources Nikkei report also claimed that Apple is going to hold an event on Tuesday, September 10th in the United States to launch the new iPhones. To the extent the September 20th launch date of iPhone for Japan is concerned it falls on Friday and matches very well with the last year’s release plan of Apple.
At this point in time it cannot be said with surety whether the aforementioned report is true or not, but it seems quite logical, as earlier in 2012 Apple launched the current iPhone 5 on September 12th and just nine days after announcing the flagship smartphone the company has made the handset available for sale in the following countries U.K., Canada, U.S., Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and France.
Since Canada was listed along with Japan at the time iPhone 5 release. Therefore, one can expect that may be us Canadians may also be able to get our hands on the next-gen iPhones on September 20th, if the report mentioned above turned out to be true. If September 10th did not turn out to be the exact launch date of next iPhones even then it is highly likely that Apple is going to launch the next iPhones sometime in the next month, as the history of the company shows it has launched its flagship smartphone usually in September.
