Apple is expected to launch three smartphones this year; a next generation iPhone, a relatively cheaper version of its brand with a 4.8 inch screen and a model with 12-megapixel camera, different media reports have suggested, though no official confirmation has been received.

While the rumours with respect to two versions of iPhone (the next generation iPhone 5S, and the cheaper version for the developing countries) have already been doing the rounds of late, the information about the model with a 12-megapixel camera is relatively new, and at present there is nothing concrete to say about it either, except for the speculation that it would be launched later this year before the holiday season.

The fresh rumour that initially was reported somewhere in Asia has now been discussed by the entire tech community. These all are pretty interesting moves, if, of course, they are confirmed. Apple has recently launched iPhone 5 and their preparations for the next generation phone too soon are somewhat confusing. Another interesting feature in this development is that the iPhone with a 4.8 inch screen might be called “iPhone Math”. Again, no confirmation has been received about the name either.

The production of iPhone 5S is expected to begin in March this year, while it will be set for the mid-year launch, somewhere around June or July. Moreover, it has also been reported previously that the iPhone that will cater the developing countries will cost around $100-150. This version, too, is expected to hit the market in June or July.
