After an enthralling launch in six different cities at the same time, the new BlackBerry devices will be available for sale in different markets worldwide from today, but will take more than a month to reach out to all main global markets.
The two new smartphones, Z10 and Q10, will be available first of all in the UK from today, while they will be available in other markets after a few days. According to the official BlackBerry blog, Inside BlackBerry, the Z10 smartphone will be available in the UK on pre-pay plans and pay monthly contracts from a number of service providers including Vodafone, BY 3UK and others. The blog said about the price of the phone:
“BlackBerry Z10 smartphones will be available fully subsidized on competitive monthly pay contracts. Price points will vary according to carriers and retail partners.”
The home town, Canada, will get the taste of the new phone from February 05. Its retail price will be $149.99 for three years. In the UAE, the BlackBerry lovers will be able to get their hands on the Z10 BlackBerry from February 10. Its retail price will be AED 2,599.
The smartphone will hit the U.S. markets quite late. The BlackBerry Z10 will be available in the country from March. These were the details with respect to only the Z10 model of the new smartphone. About the Q10 smartphone, the company said:
“We expect the first global carriers to launch the BlackBerry Q10 in April. We will announce new pricing and availability information as carriers roll out around the world.”
