Smartphones have outclassed traditional mobile phones when they were introduced because they offer a variety of features to users which enable them to do lots of things while they are on the move or sitting anywhere in the world.  For instance users can snap pictures, shoot full HD videos, make video calls, chat with friends online, surf the internet, edit and save word documents and a lot more. Therefore, today all sorts of smartphones ranging from low to high-end have a decent demand in most countries across the world. In fact, today users can share music and videos they are watching or listening to with their online buddies through their BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on BlackBerry 10 smartphone. However, there is also a drawback of this feature because if you are watching adult content on your BlackBerry Z10 and the “Show What I’m Listening To” option is active on your BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) then, your friends, relatives and loved ones on the list will also get to see what you are watching.

This could be pretty embarrassing, as it does not seem like a very smart feature because the “Show What I’m Listening To” option when active automatically grabs the video or music a person is playing on the Z10 and shares it with his or her friends instantly. Music perhaps is not a big hindrance, but sharing porn videos could put them into some serious jeopardy, as apart from relatives and friends most of the users have added their spouse and fiancées on the BBM friend list too.  Some even have their kids on the list as well.

Users probably would not be mind if they forgot to turn off the “Show What I’m Listening To” option and it shared a video from YouTube or from any other site that does not contain mature content. But broadcasting a video from any other adult content site would cause them lot of discomfort. Therefore, the next time, you will play a porn video on your Z10 make sure that the “Show What I’m Listening To” option is not active. By default this option is usually disabled but to double check it, access the BBM settings and turn it off if it is on.

So just like other technologies, smartphones also have some quirks and the “Show What I’m Listening To” option on the Z10 is one of them that keeps users on their toes.
