BlackBerry has officially confirmed that its brand new all-touch smartphone, the Z10, will be released in the US on March 22nd with AT&T. It means that the Waterloo-based company is ready to make its mark in the US market by introducing its latest BlackBerry 10 platform to the country. The US is a lot bigger market than Canada and UK, where BlackBerry initially launched the Z10. At the same time it is the market that has caused lot of problems for the company in the recent times. Given that once BlackBerry maintained a decent number of customers in the region, today its market share is no more than 6 percent. Therefore, one can say without a doubt that the US was responsible for BlackBerry’s troubles.

However, now with the launch of Z10, BlackBerry is looking to make a fresh start in the country, as this time around the firm has really worked hard to develop a new software and hardware so it could meet the expectations of users. The US smartphone market is tricky and BlackBerry should consider it as a developing country’s market an believe that it is vital for the company.

Previously, BlackBerry made a great comeback with the launch of its first all-touch device, the Z10, as it was warmly greeted both in the UK and Canada. In fact the CEO of BlackBerry Thorsten Heins said that it “was the best day ever for the first day of a launch of a new BlackBerry smartphone” in Canada. He specifically said that his company managed to sell 50 percent more BlackBerry devices on the launch of the Z10 as compared to the launch date of any other device from the company.

In addition to this, Canadian telecom carrier, Rogers have also issued a similar statement and according to the company it has never sold so many BlackBerry devices in its history than it managed to sell on the launch day of Z10. Roughly a month after that another telecom carrier in Canada known as Wirelesswave declared that Z10 has remained its best selling smartphone from the day it was launched. It means that BlackBerry Z10 has given a tough time to its rivals, the Samsung S III and the Apple iPhone 5.

All these facts are indicating that Z10 will do well in the US market as well and it has got the power to to make its mark.
