BlackBerry Q5 Finally Makes Debut in Canada

After a long wait, BlackBerry finally launched its third BB10 smartphone, the Q5, in Canada on Tuesday, August 13th. The new Q5 is actually a mid-level smartphone that is now available from most of retailers and wireless carriers in Canada, which includes TELUS, Bell, Koodo, Fido, Sasktel and Virgin Mobile. In addition to this, Canadians will also be able to find the new device from Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Future Shop. However, the red version of the Q5 will exclusively available to Virgin Mobile users only.

 

As far as the specs of the BlackBerry Q5 are concerned, it boosts a QWERTY keyboard like the Q10, but since it’s a mid-range smartphone therefore Canadians will be find it below par in the other features. Given that it sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with which users can record HD videos and to the extent its chipset is concerned the Q5 features a dual-core processor. The display of the mid-tier smartphone is 3.1-inch and it is touch-enabled. Besides this, the Q5 has a “stunning youthful design” and LTE connectivity as well.
