So far BlackBerry has rolled out three BlackBerry 10 devices, of which two were high-end devices, the all-touch Z10 and Q10 with QWERTY keyboard, whereas the third smartphone was a mid-tier handset, the Q5. However, just like the Q10 the mid-level Q5 also boasts a QWERTY keyboard, but has unimpressive specs. Now several leaked reports have indicated that BlackBerry is all set to introduce its first 5-inch smartphone the Z30, also known as the A10/Aritso but the Waterloo-based company has not officially revealed anything about the forthcoming handset. So there are doubts whether the specs of the BlackBerry Z30, which have leaked in previous reports are accurate or not. But now a new leaked image of the Z30 has shown it measured up against the flagship smartphone of Nokia, the Lumia 925, which has confirmed that the upcoming BB10 smartphone is larger.

Apart from this the new leaked image of Z30 along with Nokia Lumia 925 has also confirmed that the next BB10 device of the Canadian smartphone maker sports 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storing capacity and runs BlackBerry OS 10.2.0.1442. As far as the rest of the specs of Z30 are concerned, rumour has it that besides having a 5-inch screen it sports a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2880 mAh battery to keep it alive for a long time. Since Z30 is the first 5-inch device from BlackBerry therefore CEO Thorsten Heins and his team are quite thrilled about it, as the head of the company said earlier this year that there is one upcoming device about which he is very excited.

Let’s see how BlackBerry Z30 will do for the troubled company, as so far the three new BB10 devices have not been able to generate many sales as the smartphone maker was expected from them. So now all eyes are on the 5-inch Z30 that does not look much different than the Z10 when it comes to design. To the extent the pricing and the launch date of the Z30 are concerned, so far BlackBerry has not shed any light on them. So it seems that we have to wait a little in order to see the official launch of the Z30 that is likely to face tough competition from some of the existing smartphones of rival companies such the Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S IV and Nokia Lumia handsets because all of them are equipped with better processors and rear cameras.
