London Fashion House, Burberry, started off as a maker of rain-wear before morphing into a top of the line fashion brand name. The British firm is well known for its innovative approach to fashion and it has now also applied that touch to the technology the company provides its customers. Burberry recently introduced two new features for its customers along with its Womenswear A/W 2013 collection. Ready-to-wear customers will be able to get haute couture service with the British firms Smart Personalisation that allows users to get made to order clothes. Using the new technology they can order coats and accessories fresh off the ramp. Buyers receive the piece they order after nine-weeks of the cat walk showing of the pieces. The items also come with personalized nameplates.

Customers can also use the the Smart Personalisation feature from their mobile phone which they utilize to scan an item from the website or the store. The clothing contains a new type of technology that will cause a short film to run on the mobile device. The video will showcase how the garment was made. For customers that use the service in Burberry’s flagship store located on Regent Street in the British capital, there is an even biggest surprise when the large mirrors turn into display screen. The smart mirrors will show the video in a bigger format than the mobile device.
