Canada-based startup Pressly was launched back in 2011 at TechCrunch Disrupt has successfully seized $1.5 million in funding in a financing round was led by both Omers Ventures and iNovia Capital. The Toronto-based company made it known that the newly raised funds will go to its marketing platform that unites different online content sources like blogs, social channels and websites to give an interactive experience to mobile device users. So the recently secured funds will help Pressly a lot as an improved marketing platform will enable it to lure more customers in the near future.

According to Pressly both marketers and publishers are finding it hard to grasp the attention of an ever growing number of mobile device users. However, Pressly’s platform enables customers to choose the content that they like from the site, which includes RSS and social feeds, into a HTML 5 web app so the readers could experience it through the browser of their smartphone or tablet instead of downloading an application.

CEO of Pressly, Jeff Brenner said that, “Our product gives businesses a fast and easy way to take their huge investments in content to mobile users everywhere, in a beautiful, highly engaging way. In the time it takes to load a web page, you can hook your readers with an amazing mobile experience.”

According to TechVibes a study revealed that “analyzing millions of mobile visits in 2013, clients using Pressly to power their mobile content can enjoy up to 10 times more page views, and 4.5 times longer visits on their mobile property compared to standard industry benchmarks.”

Principal of iNovia Capital, Karamdeep Nijjar, affirmed it by saying that, “We know brands and publishers are looking for a platform to amplify their message on mobile devices, which is a far cry from the keyboard and mouse world. Pressly absolutely nails it with this product.”

On this occasion Managing Director of Omers, Derek Smyth stated that, “At Omers Ventures we invest in companies we believe can become global leaders. We think Pressly has huge potential due to its innovative products, strong management team and continuing market traction.”
