Canada based start-up TitanFile has developed a system that is used for the secure transfer of classified data over various devices. The promising company recently declared that they have secured $1.1 million in financing from several investors to fuel future growth. With this giant leap, TitanFile will soon be available to users, allowing them to receive data over a secure link that can also be saved by using a military level encryption. Moreover, this technology will aid users in confirming the identity of the receiver prior to giving them rights of access to their data files as well.

The $1.1 million endowment has been received from Innovacorp, associates of Nova Scotia’s First Angel Network and other firms. The start-up will utilize the cash to move forward and come out of testing and move into the mainstream in the near future. As CEO and co-founder of TitanFile, Milan Vrekic said that, “We have seen magnificent traction within our pilot deployments. We are very excited about releasing the product to the general public.”

Companies like Stewart McKelvey law firm, the University of Florida and others that are involved in high level of association and security have already adapted the technology, which certifies that TitanFile is more than just a useful product. In addition to this, the firm received the People’s Choice Cloudy Award for Best Cloud Newcomer in 2010 at SXSW and Canada-U.S. Youth Entrepreneur Innovation Award. With the increased move towards BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) as well as the myriad of things we are able to do on our mobile devices, there is little denying the value TitanFile can provide to users of all sizes and types.

CTO and co-founder Tony Abou-Assaleh explains their product by saying that, “Professionals can now communicate with clients and colleagues without worrying about privacy and security, while avoiding the complexity of traditional enterprise solutions.”
