As Twitter continues its journey of self-discovery and attempts to figure out how to monetize itself without tainting its wonderful user experience, it has enlisted the help of a Canadian friend for its latest move.

Twitter is in the process of evolving their API and has renewed their focus to target enterprises. HootSuite as you know is a social media management dashboard that allows enterprises to manage their brands using a bevy of social networks.

The promotion that has been made available from both parties will provide 30,000 of HootSuite’s Pro Premium clients with $100 in free advertisements on Twitter as an incentive to use the platform for their ads. Check it out.

The voucher, which is redeemable through HootSuite is aimed at the many small to medium enterprises, encouraging them to get into advertising on Twitter, something large corporations and conglomerates will do anyways given their multimillion dollar budgets.

According to TechCrunch, a source from Twitter shared the following regarding the union:

“As with all of our advertising efforts, we are being thoughtful and deliberate in how we roll out self-serve to all kinds of small and local businesses,” she said. “We are testing out various ways to roll out this offering, including offers to Twitter users by companies like HootSuite.” TechCrunch understands from a source that this is the first signal that “a deeper partnership between the two may be in the works.”

Unfortunately, the promotion is only available to Twitter accounts with U.S. bill addresses with no past advertising experience on the website. We’re glad to see Twitter and HootSuite enriching their relationship and recognizing their dependence on one another can be used for mutual gain.
