Toronto based search re-targeting firm Chango announced yesterday that it has successfully secured $12 million in financial support with existing backers Rho Canada Ventures, iNovia, Mantella Venture Partners, Extreme Venture Partners and Metamorphic Ventures also taking part in the round.
Chango will start Programmatic Site Retargeting (PSR) with the recently raised funds. This new project from Chango is its primary real time solution derived from a group of several similar projects. PSR is being constructed on the Chango Madison platform. Although, site re-targeting is one of the leading and most efficient forms of ad targeting, Chango is looking to make it more efficient by leveraging customizable logic and diverse data sources with PSR,.
In addition to this, Chango has also opened 50 new job vacancies in engineering, client services, sales, ad operations and marketing departments to support industry, geographic and product expansion. This way the company will truly serve its goal to offer effective and simple solutions to the tricky world of real time big data and digital advertising. Chango is already providing services to 55 online retailers from the top 500 through their offices in Los Angeles, Toronto, San Francisco and New York.
The real time ad technology company is expanding its sales with its presence in London, Detroit and Chicago to reach out extra online retailers and to back more industries such as travel and automotive.
