EnerTech Capital Closes Fourth Fund and Hires New Vice President of Investment

Last week EnerTech Capital sent out a press release that welcomed clean technology executive and veteran Anne-Marie Bourgeois as Vice President of Investments. Bourgeois will be based in the Canadian city of Montreal and is expected to lead the EnerTech Capital’s investment in the Québec region. Her expertise will also be used as part of the company’s global expansion strategy.

 

The hiring of staff at EnerTech comes as the firm closes its fourth fund called EnerTech Capital Partners IV L.P. The experienced staff will be a significant part of the company’s plans to keep moving forward in their search for energy related opportunities in North America.

 

The newly hired Bourgeois comes with a very solid background in the energy sector, possessing experience in operations along with a solid 17 years of working with cleantech. Her past employers have dealt in “industrial processes, waste management, materials, transportation, water, biofuels and agro-industry.” The new EnerTech Capital VP also brings with her experience in the venture capital sector. Her stay with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) and Sustainable Development (SIDD) introduced her to the financing of startups in the clean energy sector and introduced her to best practices for the job.

 

The newly hired VP is very focused on helped startups reach their full potential as leaders in their category. Bourgeios expects to use her past experience with “international corporate partnerships, go-to-market strategies and first sales of disruptive technologies in North America and emerging markets” to help fledglings companies reach their goals. Her multi lingual background in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish will help EnerTech take advantage of international opportunities and create outstanding returns.

 

Scott McKay, Repentigny MNA; Andrée-Lise Méthot, Founder and Senior Partner at Cycle Capital Management and Wally Hunter, Managing Director of EnerTech Capital all welcomed Bourgeios to the company and wished her success in her new leader ship role.
