Evernote

Evernote is a famous services and software suite that was developed to convenient take notes and archive all of life’s happenings. The platform works with multiple operating systems, of course includes Apple’s iOS. Due to its unique function, Evernote quickly gained popularity among users and according to a 2008 estimate, approximately 11 million people were using the suite and everything it has to offer. Now its users will get to experience a revamped iOS app. On November 2nd, Evernote announced that they will soon be launching an update of their popular app.

This new update will be quite similar to “Evernote 5” for Mac and it has a new interface for browsing notebooks, notes or tags on the iPad and iPhone. In addition to this, Evernote has used a “stacked” interface for sections in order to incorporate and service a new navigation system that allow users to switch view by just tapping twice.

To further thrill their users, Evernote’s team has successfully managed to add a “recent notes” scrollbar menu on the top in its iPad version, as this device has much more screen space to work with than the iPhone. With this scrollbar menu users will get the freedom to switch quickly between tags and notebooks in order to read different notes rapidly.

Explaining the idea behind this new version of the app for iOS, Evernote stated that, “We’ve learned a lot over the years about how people use Evernote on mobile devices. It’s all about speed. Whether you’re creating a note or browsing to one, everything needs to happen fast. Also, you want the app to easily support your preferred organization scheme. If you’re a tagger, then tags must be front-and-center. If you put everything into notebooks, then those need to be quickly accessible.”

This new version of Evernote app also gives an Atlas view to go through notes by location, plus Notebooks and Tags views are also possible along with Sorting, Filters and Cards options. Besides this, users will also get to see the three shortcuts on the top through which they can create a new photo (this feature allow iPhone users to take pictures from its camera, which are automatically saved as new notes) or note in order to jot something down rapidly.

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a awesome job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!
