After launching its Trainer app for adults, Vancouver-based Fit Brains has now officially announced its first trainer app for kids. This new app is called Sparky’s Adventures. The Fit Brains: Sparky’s Adventure app is currently available for iOS devices through which the company offers over 200 training sessions that are specifically designed for young kids and toddlers. The customised levels of the new app not only give children a mind strengthening experience, but also offer optimal entertainment at the same time.

“The unique trainer for kids provides a comprehensive approach to stimulating the five key areas of the brain: memory, concentration, visual, speed, and problem solving. Kids are led through the educational games by Sparky the firefly, a whimsical character who appears throughout. The app is also built with a parents panel so caregivers can see how the child is performing and progressing, and how he is scoring compared to other children of the same age,” according to TechVibes.

Prior to this Fit Brains mobile app remained quite successful, as it saw one million downloads in just first 60 days of its launch. In addition to this, the Fit Brains app was also able to achieve number one spot in the educational channel of iTunes and it crossed 3.5 million downloads in the first 8 months. As a result of this success, Fit Brains decided to roll out a cognitive training genre app for kids.

Michael Cole, CEO of Fit Brains, said, “Due to the overwhelming success of the Fit Brains Trainer, that reached #1 in the education channel in more than 90 countries around the world, and has been the highest rated trainer on iTunes with 4.5/5 stars by more than 40,000 reviewers, we looked into additional ways to expand our training to the entire family.”

Cole also said that, “We saw the lack of a comprehensive brain trainer for young children, and heard from many of our fans that they wanted a Fit Brains app geared toward their kids. It was here that Fit Brains: Sparky’s Adventures was born.”

Since its launch in 2008 Fit Brains has been doing well, which can judged from the fact that it offered 150 million training session to the users. Now those, who are interested in downloading the Fit Brains: Sparky’s Adventures app can get it for free. Plus they also get to enjoy complimentary training sessions. Both iPad and iPhone users can download the app from iTunes App Store of Apple.
