It appears that supplying the Google Nexus 4 to loyal and eager customers in the United Kingdom has became a serious headache for the search engine giant, as the company is struggling to meet the superfluous demand for this smartphone due to a shortage of supply. As a result of this shortage, Google have to make an apology to its customers in the UK, who are still anxiously waiting to get their hands on this device.

Some customers are quite miffed with Google, because according to them the poor communication of this multinational corporation about payments and delivery estimates has created a presumably avoidable mess.

As one customer writes, “At this time of year when many people are travelling, they find it extremely hard to arrange deliveries when they have inaccurate estimates of when they will arrive, this kind of problem is multiplied enormously by bad information. And again, not knowing when money will be taken from your account during the festive season is not acceptable.”

Due to this frustrating situation Managing Director of Google for UK and Ireland, Dan Cobley had to come out eventually and apologise to the customers for not communicating properly with them. He also said that the pain that their consumers have suffered due to poor communication is “unacceptable”.

In addition to this, Cobley also assured their customers that Google is working nonstop to sort this issue and soon they will be able to able to cater this huge demand. As he writes, “I realise that the people who ordered the Nexus 4 so early are among our most committed and loyal users and we are doing all we can to put things right.”

This entire problem started following December 4 when Google started taking fresh orders for the Nexus 4 after its initial stock got sold out in the previous month. The device also remains sold out on the Google Play web store for Canadians.
