Although there hasn’t been any official word as yet, Mobile Syrup and Sam Mobile have heard word that the Samsung Galaxy S II, S III and Note will be receiving operating system updates to Android’s highly acclaimed 4.1.1 version, known as Jelly Bean come September or October of this year.
According to said sources, Samsung has been busy testing the new platform on their devices in order to ensure full integration and optimized delivery. At the very least, international carriers of the devices will make the update available while us in North America may have to wait a little bit longer for our Jelly Bean.
Thus far the updated operating system, which focuses on speed and smoothness, has been wildly popular with users, analysts and critics alike, even throwing down the gauntlet at Apple and daring them to bring it with their upcoming iOS 6.
We hope Canada will be able to enjoy Jelly Bean on their S II, S III and Note devices in the next two months. For now, here is some video of a beta version of the platform running on an S III courtesy of Mexico.
