Thanks to mobile devices and the wide availability of WiFi and data service, everything from information, images, leaked songs and even leaked films hit the internet well before proposed release dates. Although this does take away from some of the excitement that comes from knowing little to nothing about a device or product, I’m sure we have all been guilty of clicking on a link to the latest leaked images of say, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 2.

Know Your Mobile has found an image of a device which looks likely to be the Note 2. The device looks devilishly similar to the recently released Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet (TQ was on it). The device looks to have a 5.5” screen, silver trim and is great looking overall.

As TQ had previously mentioned, the Note 2 has been pegged for an August 29 launch date and increased interest has led to some interesting facts coming to surface. According to Latino Post the Note 2 5.5” high screen will feature a HD AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280×800. In terms of horses, the Note 2 is believed to feature a 1.5 GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor, 2GB RAM as well as the popular ‘S pen’ stylus.

The well written piece also mentions the phablet featuring a rear-facing camera with up to 13 MP which is absolutely incredible considering what this dynamo is fully capable of. The only potential disappointment for fans of the Korean phone maker is that the device will most likely be running the slightly older Ice Cream Sandwich Android platform. That of course plays second fiddle to Android’s latest the fast and smooth Jelly Bean.

There is no doubt the device will eventually run it, the question is simply a matter of when. Samsung modifies the Android platform to mesh as well as possible with its devices. The process is extended by requiring carrier approval before being available for upgrading.

We look forward to bringing you more on what promises to be an incredible device.
