When it comes to buying a house, people not only closely look at the design and construction of the dwelling, but they also take its location into account as well. Therefore, to assist home buyers in locating the best community according to their needs, the Canadian office of Better Homes and Gardens has just launched a search app by the name of Community Scout. This special search app is developed to work with iPad and iPhone. It includes more than 465,000 points of interest and 2,000 communities throughout Canada. In addition to this, the Community Scout app also includes a web-based Lifestyle Search, which lets users make the best choice when it comes to selecting a community in which they would like to purchase a home.

Talking about their new free app, President of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Rob Vanden Broek said, “We recognized the gap in the market for a consumer-focused tool that would serve that purpose and developed Community Scout, as well as the web-based Lifestyle Search in response to the demand. With informative infographics and in-depth neighbourhood insight, it allows consumers to dig deeper to find their desired neighbourhood in a simple and effective way – through a mobile device or our website.”

This is the first time that a real estate company in Canada has offered a completely new kind of technology to the potential home buyers in the form of Lifestyle Search and Community Scout which helps buyers seek out amenities in different neighborhoods. Also, the app helps potential buyers find additional details about the assets of the community, which includes employment rates, population, restaurants, parks, banks, grocery stores, schools and much more. Besides this people, who are looking to buy a home can also compare different neighbourhoods with each other on the basis of most popular peer group, levels of home possession and home prices.

Vice President of Network Services at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Canada, Nelson Goulart said, “Studies indicate consumers are increasingly using their mobile devices to access everything from driving directions to restaurant recommendations to hailing a taxi to home design. We’ve combined our unique knowledge of communities – what they have to offer and which amenities are nearby – with a sleek, simple and easy-to-use platform that provides a tool that is useful to Canadians consumers when making the important decision of where to buy their home.”
