Many rank HTC One among the best smartphones currently available in the market, as the flagship device from HTC not only boasts superlative features, but also has a very impressive design. The integration of Beats Audio has also made the smartphone simply unbeatable in the sound quality department. In addition to this, Blink Feed has given a completely new interface to users through which owners of HTC One can instantly see any video or other information right on their main screen. The Ultrapixel camera and 4.7-inch display makes One even more tempting. It is because of these and other fine specs HTC One was warmly greeted by consumers across the globe. However, not every consumer is an Android fan, as Windows Phone users can also be found in decent numbers. And these Windows Phone admirers might also like HTC to produce a Windows version of One. This is the new rumour that is whirling in the tech world now, as it suggests that HTC may introduce a Windows Phone version of HTC One.

A source of Neowin has claimed that HTC is currently working on a new iteration of HTC One that will be powered by Windows Phone OS. However, the size of the Windows Phone HTC One is not going to match with the existing version, as according to Neowin’s source the screen size of the variant would be between 4 and 5 inches. This means that display of Windows Phone HTC One will be either 4.3-inch or 4.7-inch. It is also said that the new iteration of One will sport the same Beats Audio and metal body clad. However, this claim seems to be unreal, as we believe that HTC would manufacturer a completely new smartphone for Windows Phone OS just as it has done in the past.

The same source also asserted that the HTC One WP would also feature Windows Phone GDR 3 that will support both a quad-core processor and 1080 display on the device. It is also anticipated that the WP edition of One will include the UltraPixel camera like its Android sibling. The source also said that Windows version will see the first light during this fall or sometime later during this year.

But this claim does not seem very convincing, as so far Microsoft has not customized its mobile operating system to work with hardware like Beats Audio and UltraPixel camera. Currently it seems that the HTC hardware would not work properly with the Windows Phone OS.
