We know that Apple’s executives often take jabs at Samsung’s products and they especially target the popular flagship Galaxy S series phones, but now Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC has also started making fun of the Korean company’s products. In fact HTC went ahead of others and started making fun of Samsung’s Galaxy S IV even before its launch. For that purpose HTC used Twitter as a platform and it all started with the infamous tweet from Yves Le Jan in which he wrote that, “Samsung are due to announce their latest phone to be sold exclusively in Toys ‘R Us today. Want a real phone? Get the @htc #HTCOne #LRT.”

The moment Samsung announced its next Galaxy S series phone in New York City the HTC One maker went into overdrive and started posting any negative news they could find about the new smartphone over Twitter.

“The next big thing is not made of plastic. It’s the premium all-metal – The new HTC One.”

“So…how off-Broadway is this production?”

Twitter was not the only platform that HTC used to spread hate for Samsung Galaxy S IV. During an interview with the famous site BusinessInsider, the President of the Taiwanese company, Mike Woodward, was asked what he thought about the latest Galaxy phone and he replied, “It feels very iterative. It looks a lot like the Galaxy S III…We were pleased to see no innovation in the design itself.”

It appears that HTC is quite happy that Samsung has used plastic to make the chassis of Galaxy S IV because one of the major points that the Taiwan-based company is highlighting to sell its premium flagship smartphone the HTC One is its aluminium cover.

“@htc Ok, #HTCOne it is!! What a terrible design of the Samsung galaxy S4… Same as the S3! HTC knows how to design beautiful phones!”

At this point in time HTC has stopped using its Twitter account to take jabs at Galaxy S IV, but the way company has confronted Samsung in the recent past it is very much likely that we may see more rhetoric from the company the moment Korean electronics manufacturer will make the successor of Galaxy S III available for sale.

The S III is on of the best selling smartphone today and Samsung has so far sold more than 50 million units of the device. Now the Korean tech giant expects to sell about 100 million units of the S IV.
