Award winning agency, Invoke Media, has recently declared that it has plans to start a new project called Invoke Labs. The new venture Invoke Media is basically a product incubator and it will work as a separate entity. Invoke Labs is not a new move for the Vancouver-based firm, as it has existed in the company for several years. In order to “intensify its focus on product development” Invoke Media finally decided to give the incubator its own identity.
Explaining the move, COO of Invoke Media, Keith Ippel, who will run Labs, said that, “Invoke Labs provides incubation services to technology startups with compelling ideas. We want to help both Invoke Media and smart entrepreneurs turn ideas into reality, while providing opportunities for direct investment for investors in a diversified risk model.”
Invoke has been providing creative services and innovative product for over seven years. Their customer base includes some top brands in the world too which have been acquired after the company was formed in 2005. During this period Invoke has also created Sprout, Food.ee and HootSuite. The last one is the most famous of all and currently working as a separate entity.
The creation of Invoke Labs will enable the agency to concentrate and funnel its resources more efficiently in to developing products. As the co-CEO of Invoke, David Tedman said that, “At Invoke Labs, we look for smart people with compelling ideas that have a lot of potential. Combined with our culture and experience, we think we can help build some really amazing businesses.”
