Most of you are aware that a 7” iPad, dubbed the Mini is expected to be released at some point this fall (TQ was on it). Little else is known about the device thus far, however the good people at Mashable have provided a comprehensive list of potential features.

A 7” device is something Steve Jobs once famously discounted by stating that they would be “dead on arrival” in terms of a competitive product to his iPad. The Mini is expected to be 0.3mm thinner and to come without a rear-facing camera. Although thinner and smaller, the Mini is rumoured to be featuring the same A5 processor as its big brother. The Mini is also believed to feature a smaller dock, likely the same one to be introduced on the iPhone 5.

The biggest selling point for the device beyond its convenient size and power is likely to be the price. A smaller iPad will be much more affordable than the original. Mashable states the expected price to be $300, which would definitely open it up to a lot of happy future tablet owners.

There is little doubt the 7” device is a popular size, with Amazon’s Kindle Fire doing fantastic sales while also being acclaimed. Whether the iPad Mini is to be introduced on September 12 along with the iPhone or have its own release date, there is little doubt Apple will continue to move ungodly amounts of tablets.
