In our effort to bring you the latest and greatest from the tech world, we had reported last month that Apple would launch their 7.85” iPad in September following the launch of their highly anticipated iPhone 5 launch (TQ was on it).

According to the good people at AllThingsD, it seems that there will definitely be two distinct launch events for Apple beginning in September. The iPhone 5 will be launching in a yet to be announced September 12, 2012 event (TQ was on it). What has just come to light however is the fact that Apple’s iPad Mini launch won’t happen until October, when it will have its own official intro event.

The delay between the launches makes sense for the world’s most valuable company on many levels. First and foremost, given the hype that both the iPhone and iPad Mini have had, two separate events followed by media and fan reactions propagating the internet will keep Apple’s name in the news for an extended period of time. It would also allow the anticipated success and evolution of their iPhone to provide strong momentum for the new 7-8” iPad device which will launch into direct competition will other small and popular tablet devices.

Apple has become the power and global icon it is today due in large part to how they market and introduce their devices amidst an incredible amount of speculation and fervor. According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, this is exactly why the company has chosen to split the launch events, allowing each device their own time in the sun before the spending spree that is holiday season.

Although nothing has officially been announced by Apple as yet, expect an event on September 12 and another in October.
