Recently a rumour came out of Japan that the successor of iPhone 5, which is expected to be called the iPhone 5S, will see the light of day sometime during the next year. The rumour also has it that the next gen smartphone from Apple will have a 4.5-inch display and incorporate a polycarbonate case, whereas on its back there will be a dual LED flash that will enable the users to take even better pictures than the current iPhone 5. It was also reported that the next iPhone will be made available at a price of $330. However, this report did not last long, as less than 24 hours after it was reported another rumor regarding the launch of iPhone 5S and the cheaper iPhone emerged online. This time the speculation came out of China and it quotes information from Barclay’s Capital, which indicates that iPhone 5S and the lower end edition of iPhone will make their debut in August this year.
The report also says that the cheaper edition of the iPhone will be manufactured by two companies, Pegatron and Foxconn, with the later having earlier developed iPhone 5 for Apple. The much talked about iPhone 5S will be built exclusively by Foxconn.
The iPhone 5S is believed to boast even better specs than its predecessors. In fact it is highly likely that iPhone 5S will be a world phone because it may pack a Qualcomm chip that will enable it to work with any network in the entire world, including the proprietary pipeline of China Mobile. Previously, Apple did not incorporate such a technology in any of its iPhones therefore its models do not have the capability to support the world’s largest telecom carrier’s network.
However, if this rumour proved true then, it will be the first time when Apple’s iPhone will not only gain access to a big network but the smartphone can also see a huge number of potential buyers that is estimated to be around 700 million users.
On the other hand, the latest report also says that the cheaper edition of iPhone will not be incorporate with such technology therefore it will not be a world phone and therefore it will not work with the Time Division like LTE network of China Mobile.
Nevertheless, so far the latest speculation did not receive any acknowledgement from the Cupertino-based company, so just like us you will also have to wait for an official denial, confirmation or more speculation.
