iPhone 5S Will Come in Different Colours and Screen Sizes says Topeka Capital Markets’ Analyst

So far Apple has produced six generations of iPhone, but with regards to its design and colours, the company has brought major changes only in its current model; the iPhone 5. As Apple has boosted its screen size to 5 inch from the traditional 3.5 inch display and introduced white/silver and black/slate colours for the first time. Nevertheless, colour wise iPhone 5 stands in that same white and black zone, ignoring other hues offered by competitors of the Galaxy and Lumia variety.

However, now a Topeka Capital Markets’ analyst Brian White has claimed that the next generation iPhone will not only be available in different colours, but it will also come in various screen sizes. White believes that the next iPhone will be offered in pink, silver, blue and yellow just like the latest iPod Touch. In addition to this MacRumours also reported that White says the next iPhone will probably be “called iPhone 5S” just the way iPhone 4 was named 4S, rather than the iPhone 6 as has been speculated by others.

White made these claims in his note to investors on Wednesday in which he noted that:

“Although Apple offers a 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 and a 3.5-inch screen on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, the Company has never offered multiple screen sizes for a single model. We believe this is about to change with the next iPhone offering different screen sizes that we believe will allow Apple to better bifurcate the market and expand its reach.

This eventually opens up the possibility for a lower-priced iPhone (i.e., iPhone mini) with a smaller screen size that could allow Apple to further penetrate markets such as China and open up opportunities in India. At the same time, Apple could unveil a larger screen size compared to the recently updated 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5.”

This was not the first time that some analyst has made such predictions about the next gen iPhone, as Peter Misek a Jefferies’ analyst has also made similar kinds of claims, but it remains to be seen whether they are actually true.
