Among the biggest challenges for businesses in this day and age is the integration of various mobile platforms as viable work devices. It goes without saying that the days of BlackBerry dominance with suits and executives are long gone, and for Vancouver’s Absolute Software, this represents opportunity meeting preparation.

An emerging concept for business is that of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), and with the aid of Absolute’s newly released Absolute Manage 6.1, mobile devices and laptops using various platforms and makes can all be integrated and used by a corporate team. The firmware-embedded security and management software allows for the automation of workflow for IT departments, allowing seamless integration into a corporate network regardless of the devices in question.

Among other functionalities, Absolute Manage allows for Mobile Application Management (MDM), allowing for the ability to centrally remove or install applications on individual devices based on the requirements of the specific employee. There is also the built-in ability to send and control various commands, alerts as well as individualized messages to specific devices.

As part of their BYOD software integration, Absolute also offers a three step Policy Implementation Guide that allows corporations of all sizes and types to create and integrate their very own BYOD policy.
