Although, Sony had announced its impending flagship Xperia T right at the start of winter, no further updates regarding the release date and associated carriers in Canada have been released. Nevertheless, the wait is now over as the featured phone of next James Bond series movie “Sky Fall” and its Canadian release draws near, Sony has finally announced the carriers’ names and launching date of Xperia T (a.k.a. the Bond phone). According to this official announcement, the Xperia T will be released in November by numerous carriers including MTS, Videotron, Rogers, Bell and Mobilicity.
Sony did not reveal the price of the HD display, ‘One touch’ sharing (NFC) and prize-winning arc design phone in their latest official statement. One reason behind not disclosing the price is so that that this new phone can be used by 007 in the upcoming Bond movie and then be simultaneously launched with “Sky Fall”. This type of cross industry promotion is likely to create special promotions for the new flagship device.
This special deal will include exclusive Bond material such as wallpapers, ring tones, clips, footage, interviews of the cast & crew and much more.
According to Vice President of Marketing for North America, Sony Mobile Communications, Peter Farmer, “Entertainment is in our DNA and the Xperia T is the latest example. Offering stylish design, easy connectivity and access to premium entertainment anywhere, anytime, the Bond phone will soon be available to Canadians.”
This phone will be a true delight not only for Bond fans, but also for mobile freaks who love to have a phone that is stuffed with most modern features. As, Xperia T is equipped with an impressive feature list including such things as a 13 mega pixel camera with HD video recording, wireless connection through DLNA to enjoy HD content, preloaded material such as Album, Walkman and Movies and lot more.
