Jobpostings.ca is an advisory magazine that also offers a resource centre like service along with a job board. Recently the Canadian organization acquired a startup called Fanfare that is located in Toronto, Ontario. However, jobpostings.ca did not give a clue about the amount it has spent to make the acquisition possible. The Toronto-based startup basically links companies and employers with universities in the country so they can offer internships, co-op and entry level jobs to students. Fanfare is located in the Ryerson Digital Media Zone of Toronto that was inaugurated back in 2010.
Now as jobpostings.ca has acquired Fanfare there seems to be no change in plans because according to the startup, they “will continue to be supported” by the advisory magazine, plus it also asserted that there will be “no cancellation of service.”
On this occasion, CEO of Fanfare, Christopher Alleyne, released the following statement on the website of the company, in which he stated that, “I’m proud of the product we’ve built and the success we’ve achieved with fanfare. With the scale and resources of Jobpostings.ca, I’m confident fanfare users will experience some big enhancements over the coming months.”
President of Jobpostings.ca, Nathan Laurie added that, “Fanfare did an amazing job creating an innovative product that helped organizations and students connect in unique ways. With fanfare joining Jobpostings.ca, we plan to build on that success by providing even more opportunities to existing and future users.”
Since Jobpostings.ca is not only a magazine, but also offers practical advice to pupils regarding education and job search therefore acquisition of Fanfare will remain quite beneficial for both, as it will help the organization to offer even better services to the Toronto-based startup’s clients. Jobpostings.ca has a cohort of professional editors and writers, which not only explore the type of jobs, but also discuss work culture while covering the latest trends in different industries.
On the other hand, both existing and potential clients of Fanfare will be able to search jobs by reading the company’s profiles in jobpostings.ca’s magazine in order to directly get in touch with the employers or companies seeking staff. All in all, the move by the examiners of educational issues and job board magazine was an intelligent shift of gears, as it will really benefit jobpostings.ca in the future by not only extending its reach, but also boosting the number of clients it has in the country.
