Kickstarter has finally opened its first Canada-based projects after announcing it in June. Millions of people around the world are directly or indirectly connected with Kickstarter.

Following are the steps that will help people in Canada to know how things work on Kickstarter:

 

Kickstarter from September 9^th will launch the projects of people of Canada. Till then they have plenty of time to work and build a project that is something different. There will be no specific Kickstarter site for the people of Canada. They have to list their projects with all the other projects of Kickstarter.

 

As far as funding is concerned, it will not be restricted to the people of Canada. In fact anybody from any part of the world can pledge funds for Canada-based projects.

 

All the projects in Canada will be listed in Canadian dollars. If someone from outside Canada is pledging, they can see the conversion rates and amount in US dollars before pledging.

 

The people of Canada without going through Amazon payments can directly enter their payment details on Kickstarter; as for all projects there is an identical mechanism of Kickstarter. No matter, from where the pledge is made all are processed securely through third party.

 

The fees for Canada-based projects are the same as for the projects of the UK and US. Kickstarter will only charge the fees for successful projects, which is 5%.
