Want to know how lazy you have been for the entire day or the week or the month? Don’t worry there is an app for that. The founders of Habbo Hotel, once a famous virtual world on the internet have now come up with an app that tells users just how lazy they have been.
Available for free for iOS devices, Moves runs in the background tracking every single movement providing detailed information to the user on their physical activity providing a complete picture of everyday activities.
Although apps that run in the background tend to guzzle huge amounts of battery on testing moves was found to last an entire day on the subjects’ iPhones but more heavy users might face issues with battery. The app encourages users to recharge their phones overnight.
Speaking about the idea for the application CEO Karjalainen said:
“We started this project with the gamified-exercise things but we quickly realised that it’s much better if we don’t push it too hard. We just want to show people some results and eventually show some insights about their lives.”
The app is already garnering great interest while the idea has also got the attention of investors with the firm behind Moves receiving $ 1.6 million in funding from Lifeline Ventures and PROfounders Capital. All users need to do is install the application which will tell them exactly their daily routine while helping them to increase their exercise in order to lead a much healthier lifestyle.
Other firms are also working on similar apps but Moves has got a lead over its potential competition while already looking at new ways to monetise the application.
