As the anticipation builds for RIM’s latest phones and operating software release in early 2013, more information is becoming available via various media sources. As we have reported in the past, RIM has announced that they will be releasing two separate and distinct device types that will run their BB10 OS. One such device is an all-touch model (Dev Alpha) with a QWERTY and touch combination device (similar to current Bold models) to follow. These devices have been reported to feature 1280 x 720 (16:9) and 720 x 720 (1:1) resolutions and aspect ratios respectively.

Although the aforementioned devices have been known for some time under the monikers L-Series and N-Series, it appears as if a device that goes by the codename of ‘Aristo’ or the A-Series has come out of the woodwork. Boasting some impressive specs, the device is expected to be one of six that the Canadian smartphone maker will release next year.

The quad-core powered phone features the following specs:

– Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait Quad Core 1.5GHz

– 136 x 68 x 8.85mm
